Australia Reverse Phone Lookup

i just recieved the same scam and as i was on my computer whislt they called I checked their number on this site. I told the guy i was doing this and he quickly hung up.
it just a scam

they rang offerd me $7000 grant from the government but i had to give them my bank id and code told them i wont be giving them that and they got angry dont trust them its a sscam

same happened to me.

Is this a scam?

Claim they are from the govt grants dept & I have been selected to receive a grant of 7600 dollars
Conditions were that I hadn't been bankrupt in the past 3 years & I have paid my taxes on time
I explained to them that I could not tolerate any scam particularly due to my wife's ill health
They assured me it was legitimate & I simply had to go to the post office & collect my funds
Why are these low life scum bags allowed to operate they need to be brought to task
