Australia Reverse Phone Lookup

I received 4 sms on this morning.
"Commonwealth Bank would like to verify 1 transaction of $1149.10 on card number ending xxxx . Reply 1 if authorised or 2 if not authorised, or 3 for more info."
There are 8 transcations without my premission!
Then I went to the back to cut my credit card straght away.

Very Suspect, I called the number on the rear of the my card card and the bank assured me the text is from them.
They put me through to the fraud dept as the text was to inform me of suss activity.

Recieved the same text today as mentioned above - no money taken as yet
should i still cancel my card?

This number text me the same kind of massage i checked my account and found yesterday that this scammer used my 1400 dollar in different places. Please check your account everyday.

Update, it is from the commonwealth bank and it means your credit card number has been nicked. Ring the fraud department and they will fix it up. Issue new card/cards and then you will need to update your direct debits.

Same message different amount, never replied however tried to ring and mobile turned off.

I received two SMS from this number +61447268622 saying: 'Commonwealth Bank would like to verify 1 transaction of $1.07 on card number ending xxxx. Reply 1 if authorised or 2 if not authorised, or 3 for more info.' Who would spend silly one dollar on any transaction? These guys were simply testing the credit card numbers... I have checked with CommBank and this number did not belong to them. We called this number from the Bank and, of course, no replies. Then, an anonymous attempted to call five times today. Reported to Telstra.

Identical issue on 25 July 2014 as the previous person reported.

Left two SMS on my mobile and then tried to phone me by using silent number four times!
As I work in IT security, I never reply to silent numbers unless they leave messages. This time, they did leave messages purporting to be from CommBank and urging me to take immediate action.

SUpposedly, they were asking me to authorise
credit card charge of $1.07 AUD! What can one buy for one dollar?

I visited CommBank in person and they tried to call this mobile number back. As expected,
no responses.

This number must be unregistered and investigation follow.

They are trying to check if the credit card number is valid.

Be careful.

As Mickey said above, I have gotten similar text messages. I also had a charge on my Commonwealth Bank account which was unauthorised and obviously from this scammer. Called and cancelled my card straight away and reported the details.

I keep getting text message from this number +61447268622 saying;

I have checked with Commonwealth bank and this number was not sent from them.
